Château Mansart, first and foremost, tells the history of a monument: built in the 17th and 18th century, its French garden has hosted many historical figures, including Emperor Joseph II of Austria and the Pope John XXIII. Entirely restored in 2015, the interior alternates between collections displaying the classicism of the Louis XIII style and a more modern decor that breathes in freshness and modernity. The marble, tapestries and moldings combine with more contemporary citrus tones, while the minimalist spa adds a designer touch.
Walking through the fifty-hectare park you come across ponds and an enclosed orchard. Many deer, rabbits and birds inhabit the woods. At one of the period costume balls you can travel back in time to the Grand Siècle. You can also take part in preparing meals side by side with a starred chef. The castle is also a great starting point for visiting the surrounding area: the D-Day Landing beaches, numerous private castles, the Deauville film festivals and the magnificent Mont Saint-Michel.
