The book "Swords of the Viking Age" by Ian Pierce shows a famous Viking-Era spear head with an intricate Wolf Tooth pattern. In this video series, I will recreate the Wolf Tooth Spear and document how I forged this spear including all steps such as forming the socket or forge-welding on the high-carbon edge.

In part 2 of Spear Born of Fire, I am forming the socket of the spear and also create a mandrel that helps in the socket forming step but more importantly will later help when forge welding the socket.
