UPDATED w/ pictures. I had a crazy algae bloom and wanted to show you guys how bad it can get in the Spring/Summer time. I let it get pretty out of hand before I finally installed my UV Sterilizer. I chose to get a 9 watt UV Sterilizer because my pond is fairly small. If you have a bigger pond, I highly recommend getting an 18 watt or higher. Most models will list their recommendation on which sterilizer to get based on your pond size. As you can see, the UV sterilizer did an amazing job of killing the algae.
