About 2-hundred Serb women pelted the U-S information office in with stones during a demonstration outside the building in Kosovo on Monday.
The women were protesting against the alleged killing of Serb civilians by Albanian rebels fighting for the independence of the Kosovo province.
Whilst most regard the Serbs as the main aggressors in Kosovo, there are allegations that atrocities have been committed by ethnic Albanians.
These women were marching for justice and at the very least, greater recognition of their cause.
Mass protests are commonplace in the Kosovo capital of Pristina, but this is one of the few times Serb women have taken to the streets.
About 2-hundred Serbs surrounded the U-S Information Service and demanded that an American official come out and speak to them.
When no one responded, the women shouted "Fascists" and "Murderers" and before
hurling stones at the building.
Despite appeals by a security guard, the women shook the iron fence around the compound.
They then marched off toward the offices of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Their protest came as U-S Senator John Warner, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, toured the province to investigate the suffering of refugees.
During his visit he met the Serb Kosovo Governor and other Serb officials.
Allegations of abuse by both Serb forces and Albanian guerrillas have been widespread.
However the rebel Kosovo Liberation Army (K-L-A) has denied any role in such killings.
Serb officials have accused the U-S and international agencies of favouring the Albanians, who make up 90 percent of Kosovo's 2 (m) million inhabitants.
