9 years ago today... on January 17, 2008, Rick Nash scored what many commentators called the "Goal of the Year" in the final minute versus the Phoenix Coyotes. Breaking a tied score, Nash deked around two defenders and the goaltender to score the eventual game-winner.
Later, at the end of the season, the goal was nominated for an ESPY Award in the category of Best Play.
