WOODLANDS


These are some unique DONG YANG escalators with lights below the handrails, the condition of these escalators are abit questionable but I’ve read a notice posted at the lift lobby stating that 4 of the DONG YANG escalators would be replaced soon(L1-3 escalators). I’m not too sure about the library escalators as I’ve heard the management managing the escalators and lifts there are different than the ones in the main area but the conditions of the library escalators are much better than the main ones, maybe they would be around for a little longer than the main ones. Sad to see these unique DONG YANG escalators go. For the lifts here, 3 of them have been replaced and Lift B has recently completed replacement, however it is not operating now as lift A hasn’t gone for replacement yet.


Here is what the signage at the lift lobby states;

“The final phase of the upgrading works to the lifts and escalators is scheduled to be carried out from the 2nd week of December 2020 to the 4th week of April 2021

- The Works involve the replacement of passenger lift A and the four sets of escalators between the 1st and the third floor of the buildings(escalators E3 and E4)

- We seek your understanding to use passenger lifts B,C and D during this period.” There is more to the notice but it’s mainly about feedback and contact details which I will not state for privacy reasons.
