I believe that the OP-Z's Tape Track is one of its most interesting features, but I didn't always feel that way, and indeed, for a long time I didn't really understand how I would possibly work it into my music. I saw other OP-Z users doing cool tape stutter tricks, slow-downs and wobbles but every time I tried to replicate it, I ended up feeling unsatisfied.
However, though better understanding how the Tape Track worked in-depth, and learning more about its features (some undocumented!) I developed a way of working with it which felt like more of an instrument I could play or sequence and that offered me something that I couldn't find in any other instrument I own.
