A man is facing serious charges after the Westerville Division of Police say he was impersonating a police officer.
42-year-old Brendon Conklin has been charged with impersonating a police officer, unlawful restraint. As police continue to investigate, more charges are pending.
Conklin’s vehicle is registered to a nonprofit organization in his name: the Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Program.
"We know his address he listed on his registration was to a Columbus police headquarters, and that’s a privilege to protect their home address. He had to file paperwork showing he was a peace officer, and that was fraudulently done, so that could rise to a felony charge in the future,” said Lieutenant Justin Alloway.
Conklin was arrested on Jan. 21 and is currently out on bail.
