Today we're going over how to test and replace a map sensor for a Subaru. A Subaru map sensor is quite expensive so it's a good idea to check everything before you go out and spend your hard-earned money.
P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit low input. This simply means that the sensor is measuring a value less than 13.3 kPa (100 mmHg or 3.94 inHg).
P0108 - Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit high input. This simply means that the sensor is measuring a value more than 119.5 kPa (896.5 mmHg or 35.29inHg).
Symptoms of a bad or failing map sensor include:
Stalling
Rough idle
Engine does not return to idle
Poor acceleration
Engine hesitates
Engine surging
Spark knock
After burn in exhaust system
