(4 Mar 2022) Przemysl train station in Poland was crowded on Friday, as people continued to flee from Ukraine following the Russian invasion.
The town, near Poland’s border with Ukraine, is one of the main points where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees arrive as they flee the invasion.
Thousands of additional US troops recently deployed to Poland to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank are stationed in the area.
UNICEF said Friday that about 500-thousand children have been forced to flee their homes in Ukraine over the past week due to Russia’s invasion, calling the exodus “unprecedented in scale and speed.”
