Swedish is also full of different dialects and there are some unique linguistic phenomena, specific for different regions.
That inhaling slurp sound I made is one of them. It is used in the Northern parts of Sweden to say „yes” instead of actually saying it. Well, from my observation Swedish wants to be as simple as possible - maybe it is just one of the strategies? 🇸🇪
Now seriously, there’s a name for that - it’s part of the ingressive speech which occurs in many other languages 😎 Read about it, it’s so interesting! 🥰
