Firefighters were called to a huge blaze along the River Tay in Perthshire on Monday, April 27 2020.
Plumes of smoke filled the sky for most of the day after the reed beds near Errol went up in flames.
The blaze broke out at about 11.40am and quickly spread along the riverbank.
Nine fire appliances were called to the scene along with a helicopter, which was used to dump water on the flames.
Police were also called to the scene, with the fire threatening nearby properties and woodlands
The reed beds are an important conservation area, and home to hundreds of rare birds including bearded tits.
The area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Special Protection Area, Special Area of Conservation, and a Ramsar (important wetland).
