Here is a very easy recipe of farali dahi vada. They come out super soft and moist. Top them up with yogurt, roasted cumin powder, sweet tamarind chutney and farali green chutney and enjoy them. They taste as good as the ones made with urad dal.
INGREDIENTS:
Sama rice - 1/2 cup
Boiled potatoes - 2 medium sized
Green chillies 1 or 2 (as you like)
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - handful
Chopped cashews - 1 or 2 tbsps
Raisins (diced) - 1 or 2 tbsps
Farali green chutney - 4-5 tbsps
Sweet tamarind chutney - 4-5 tbsps
Rock salt - as needed
Oil - as required for frying the vadas
