The forearm bones consist of the radius and ulna. In this anatomy lesson, I'll cover the basic anatomy of these two forearm bones, which are classified as long bones in the appendicular skeleton.
The radius bone is always on the thumb side. The ulna is under the radius when you hold your arm out as if you were going to shake someone's hand.
Here are the major structures on the radius, which are covered in the video:
• Head
• Proximal Radioulnar Joint
• Neck
• Radial Tuberosity
• Styloid Process of Radius
• Ulnar Notch
• Distal Radioulnar Joint
Here are the major structures on the ulna, which are covered in the video:
• Olecranon Process
• Coronoid Process
• Trochlear Notch
• Radial Notch
• Head of Ulna
• Styloid Process of Ulna
