On the Rajapur-Sakharpa road, 12 kilometers away from Bhambed village in Lanja taluka, a small earthen dam has been constructed in a scenic place by the irrigation department. This dam which is situated at the base of the Sahyadri Mountains does not have any gates. Seeing the calm streams flowing down the steps of the bright white waterfall is an unforgettable experience. There are no words to describe the great Sahyadri Mountain engulfed in the arms of the mist and the scenic beauty around it.
t is an amusing experience to watch the local fishermen literally walk through the wall of water of the waterfall and catch fish. During clear weather, if there is no fog, you can see the iron bridge at the foot of Vishalgad standing on the wall of the Khorninko dam.
