KHIVA TRAVEL UZBEKISTAN
There are many interesting ancient cities on the Silk Road, one of them is Khiva in Uzbekistan.
In this Travel vlog I'm highlighting Khiva or Xiva as the locals call it.
The historical centre is the place to be in Khiva and have awalk around the old buildings , observe the madrassas and minarets.
You can go up the Islom Hoja minaret to see the historical city from above, it’s like an open air museum in which most of the buildings are very well-preserved.
The Kalta Minor minaret is the building that really stands out, it never got finished, if it would it would have been the biggest minaret ever build. It’s covered with glazed turquoise stones and it’s a symbol now of the city of Khiva. It's the one you see in the thumbnail of this Khiva video.
Uzbekistan is the country to be if you like ancient cities of the Silk road.
Khiva was one of the many important cities on the Silk Road to connect east and west Asia and later Europe on this network of trade routes.
the silk road got its name of the lucrative trade in Silk, but offourse alosoother marchendise. It was a route of economic trade and cultural trade conecting many places along that network.
The ancient cities from who some important are in Uzbekistan belong now to the Unesco World heritage site such as Bhukara, Khiva and Samarkand on which i also did a video about.
