On March 26th, 2022 the Taal volcano unexpectedly produced a powerful explosive eruption. Unlike prior events over the last 18 months, this eruption was long and consisted of abundant pyroclastic flows, ash ejection, and explosions. This eruption lasted for 114 minutes until it temporarily stopped. Now, recommended evacuations are underway as there is a risk that a far more powerful explosion could occur, risking the safety of residents on the western side of Taal's caldera lake. This video will cover what might happen next, and state the series of events which led to this explosive eruption.
