Since 1996, the United States Government has been deporting veterans who, as legalized citizens, joined the United States Armed Forces and served their country proudly. Veterans who have been deported served in wars such as Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Kosovo, Iraq & Afghanistan, and served in both combat and peacetime.

Veterans For Peace knows that our veterans, regardless of their birthplace, do not deserve to be ripped from their homes and deported, particularly when they have dedicated themselves to building community and a just and peaceful future. Our veterans and community leaders deserve our gratitude, not irrational judgments based in fear.

Given our current political environment, it may be more important than ever that we lift up our image to the world, demonstrate justice could prevail in the U.S. #PeaceIsPossible

We hope that this issue for veterans will illuminate the larger issue at hand.
