ATK's highly engineered UltraFlexTM and MegaFlexTM solar arrays represent key enabling technologies for solar electric propulsion (SEP), which is essential for future science, exploration and human missions into deep space. After a thorough development cycle and an initial flight to Mars, the UltraFlex is now slated for use on multiple programs. MegaFlex, the scaled-up version of UltraFlex, is designed specifically to meet the anticipated power demands of 350kW and higher with very low mass and small stowed volume, enabling larger payloads and more challenging future missions.
