What is the treatment of acute cholecystitis?

When the gallbladder is inflamed and infected in acute cholecystitis we must begin a pathway of treatment to help our patient.

This pathway includes...

1. Fluid Resuscitation
2. Pain control
3. Antibiotics
4. Surgery

As surgeons evaluate the clinical status of the patient and their surgical risk and make a decision on the best treatment pathway.
