First things first - the seeds are toxic, remove all of them. Do not eat them. Do not cut, shave, or grind them into the puree by accident (or on purpose!).
Pond Apples are the only Annona native to Florida (Custard Apple, Soursop are others that have been cultivated here). Most people do not eat them. I tried eating them years ago before I realized...they have to be REALLY ripe.
This video shows how I was able to separate the fruit from the seeds by kneading the fruit like bread.
It also shows how to make jelly out of the puree.
