Multiple homes and roads in York County, South Carolina were flooded during heavy rains Thursday morning. In Charlotte, the Little Sugar Creek reached historic flood levels as more than 4 inches of rain fell in a short period of time.
Officials in Alexander County reported that over 30 people were rescued from rising floodwaters at the Hiddenite Family Campground. Numerous homes and buildings were underwater as heavy rains persisted throughout the morning hours Thursday. First Warn chief meteorologist Brad Panovich expects creeks, streams and rivers to continue rising even after the rain stops, as the water has to run off before finally receding. #NCwx #SCwx #CLTwx
