In Part 5, Doshin describes what he calls the "Cultural Life Cycles". Cultures go through life cycles: they are born, survive infancy, mature, grow old, get sick and die. Cultivating insight into the nature of this organic process is essential to understand how cultures change and dynamically interact with the individuals that comprise the cultures.
