The AR Pistol kit by PSA is about the least expensive way to get a reliable AR pistol.
This one is chambered in for .223/5.56, but I'm going to re-barrel it to .277 Wlv.
Palmetto State Armory makes the 10.5 AR Pistol Kit in the states, which is awesome, and it has been 100% reliable for me with in-spec ammo.
