A Chinese supplier allegedly paid a kickback to a Gupta linked firm.
The bribe was in exchange for the supplier to secure part of Transnet's 50 billion rand deal, to buy over 1 thousand locomotives.
That's according to Amabhungane's investigation, which revealed that the middleman was a front for Gupta associate, Salim Essa.
