Chaos in Ontario Today! 80 Centimetres Snow Storm Buries Homes, Cars in Canada
Regions around Horseshoe Valley were hit the hardest with a reported 70-80 centimetres of snow while areas around Barrie saw 56 centimetres accumulate by Friday morning, according to Environment Canada. An additional drop of 5-10 centimetres is expected for areas southeast of Georgian Bay such as Barrie, Orillia and Collingwood before the squalls taper off late Friday morning. Orillia and other parts of the region are getting hammered with snow today and there could be lots more on the way. In Beaverton, which had about 30 centimetres, kids are playing in the snow, snowmobiles are out and community members are helping shovel store fronts, according to Ramsingh.
