Learning in several schools across the country was disrupted as the strike called by the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) began. Whereas their rival union the Kenya National Union of Teachers withdrew from the strike, KUPPET maintained that the government had not fulfilled their demands. Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Ogamba however implored the teachers to resume duty as the Teachers Service Commission addresses their grievances. Fredrick Parsayo reports.
