Twin Aces is the short film I wrote, directed, and edited my senior year at CSULB. Twin Aces follows fraternal twins Marcus and Dani Giraldo, a sibling team of hustlers who pull off petty cons to make ends meet. When their mother falls ill and is in need of an expensive medical procedure, the twins must attempt their most daring con yet: Infiltrating an illegal, underground poker game hidden in the backroom of an inconspicuous convenience store. Marcus and Dani must cheat the game in order to win the $100,000 up for grabs. Running the game is the beautiful Alex DeRosa, the heiress to a dangerous crime family and a skilled poker player. Will the twins be able to win the money they need for their mother, or will Alex call their bluff?
