Welcome back to the channel and only 1 week since my last video!
I've been going to the Bristol model railway exhibition for years - from when it was held at the Watershed in Bristol City Centre, upto its current home at Thornbury Leisure Centre. I havent been for a few years due to work commitments, so couldnt wait to return this year.
The show is as large as ever - put on by the Association of Model Railway Clubs (Wales & West of England) and Warners Publications, with 28 layouts on show, ably supported by some of the biggest trade concerns in the country and railway groups.
Some of the layouts have appeared before in my videos and I took the decision to not include some of these, along with some others. I hope this doesnt detract from your enjoyment of the film - the layouts included demonstrate the quality of layouts on show.
Here is what there is to see:
Forest Gate Parkway - a OO gauge, modern image layout.
St Pierre et la Rue Perrin - a French narrow gauge, tramway system, modelled in 1:34 scale.
Templecombe Lower - a OO scale model of the real location that was on the much missed Somerset & Dorset line.
Bridge Street - a 2mm scale n gauge layout, set in the transition period between steam and diesel.
Portishead TMD - a 4mm scale OO gauge locomotive depot, which has dcc control - sound and smoke effects feature.
Kleine Albula - is a Swiss outline layout, modelled in 3.5mm Ho metre gauge.
Three Cocks Junction - a 4mm scale finescale layout of this legendary, border counties station.
Bere Banks - a 4mm scale, OO gauge, through station set in the early diesel period.
Chapel-en-le-Frith - a 4mm scale model of the Peak district station and environs. Look out for the lesser spotted Fell loco.
Addison Road - a 7mm scale layout based on what we now know as Kensington Olympia
Grantham (the streamliner years) - a 4mm scale layout of the East Coast Main Line location, in the days of steam.
Please feel free to comment, share and like - to keep right upto date with the channel, subscribe!
I hope this film meets with your approval - maybe next year you might venture West to enjoy it too.
best wishes, Iain
