"We've had the hotel in this city now for many many years, and dignitary visits such as this are quite common, and we're well versed and trained in handling it. In this case you got a combination of local, state, and federal officials on hand. You will notice a marked increase in the police presence around the area, and that's just one of the high-visibility stand-points that we try to get across to people, that we are here."

STORYLINE:
Preparations were under way on Thursday for the arrival of finance ministers and national bank officials from the Group of Seven (G7) countries who will meet in Boca Raton, Florida on Friday and Saturday.
The financial officials world's seven leading industrial nations are expected to discuss issues including how to keep money out of the hands of terrorist groups.
Local authorities in the Florida beach town are getting help from state and federal law enforcement agencies to secure the event.
On Thursday afternoon the Boca Raton Resort and Club, which is hosting the meeting, was being barricaded off with the exception of one guarded entrance.
The G7 countries are the United States, Britain, Canada, Italy, Germany, France and Japan.
