A few notes TL:DR Thanks for the support! Lucky RNG and improved a bit.
- I decided to change when to call time. My first run I did so on the last hit of the last boss but there are a few text boxes after the fight so now I called time when I closed the last text box.
- I again put the video into adobe premiere to see the precise time this happens.
-Time is still called when I start the file.
-This is a Wii Game but I run it on my Wii U.
-A mechanic in the game is when you enter the camp your health and stamina are restored but in the Japanese version your stamina is not fully restored and has a couple floor clips the North American version doesn't have.
- I have improved at being quicker in the game and learned more little tricks to get through the game easier like testing all the combat weapons on each boss to see which causes more damage. Attacking the bosses at their most vulnerable moments more often.
-I was really lucky, which is what caused the run to be successful, with boss patterns and the red fruit appearing on my first entry into the third level and getting 4 burning trees in two entries.(This can lose a lot of time since you have to leave and reenter the stage 2 to 3 times due to item spawn rng.)
-I still make a lot of small mistakes that cause time loss like my menuing is not that fast and there are times I am indecisive on what my next course of action will be. I have a route I follow so any confusion I get is not on what to do next but on item management.
I kept putting this run off even though I knew I could bring my time down but the thought of continuing gave me anxiety . I did practice more earlier this year but I had to relearn everything. A couple of days ago I saw some comments on the last video and it motivated me to keep pushing.
In total I have only made 9 or 10 runs of this game. I rushed my first video out as I was happy with it since I kept dropping my time by 20 mins each attempt. I was told that people put months or years of practice in but I wanted this game to get attention for speed running. I always knew I will not be the greatest at speedrunning any game and some out there will beat me at this game but I am proud with the results I have made for myself even if some one else will easily surpass me.
-Thanks to all the supportive comments on my last run. That is what made me get on my butt to get better! Thank You!
(seriously my legs where so sore when I was done, like I was sitting in a car for a long time and had to stretch them out. Felt like, victory.)
