How do you love Vancouver? Let us count the ways! Vancouver is celebrating its 125th birthday, and Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF) its 15th year, in 2011. VAFF is proud to have grown together with Vancouver's changing community. VAFF has asked local and international filmmakers, artists and the general public to send LOVE LETTERS TO VANCOUVER. Now, in the aftermath of the riot following the Stanley Cup Finals, Vancouver is even more inspired to remind itself and the world of how much we all love and appreciate this city. Come celebrate Vancouver's 125th anniversary, and VAFF's 15th year as the city's premier Asian Canadian film festival, with "Love Letters to Vancouver" -- a worldwide photo/video contest and exhibition/screening of commissioned work that offers audiences an intimate look at Vancouver's diversity story, as well as the city's international appeal.
