DESCRIPTION:
Ginger chutney is commonly known as allam ginger pachadi. This goes perfect with south Indian breakfasts like idli, dosa.
INGREDIENTS:
Ginger 50-60 gms
Oil 2 tbs
Dry red chillies 6-8 nos
Jaggery 20-25 gms
Tamarind 5 gms
Salt To taste
Urad dal ½ tsp
Chana dal ½ tsp
METHOD:
1. Remove peel of ginger and cut into pieces.
2. Heat 1tbs oil in a pan and add ginger and cook it.
3.To it add dry red chillies, jaggery, tamarind, salt and saute it.
4. Transfer into a blender and blend into smooth paste and transfer into a bowl.
5. Heat 1 tbs oil in a pan and add urad dal, chana dal and saute it, later add it to ginger chutney.
6. Now ginger chutney red is ready to serve.
