Let's take a tour around Lima, Peru! In order to learn more about this beautiful and historical place, we started in Miraflores where we saw an archaeological site, Huaca Pucllana. If he Peruvians knew about this earlier, they probably wouldn't have built their city of Miraflores so close to this area. However, they only recently discovered this site in the late 1900's. After leaving Miraflores, we entered the main city of Lima. This is where we saw many of the important buildings and some that were donated to Peru to celebrate their independence as a nation.

The Lima metropolitan area is huge, housing about a a third of the entire population of Peru, so we were only able to see a few of the main cities and places of interest. We also wanted to eat at a place locals would frequently visit, so we sat down for authentic Peruvian cuisine. When you're in Peru and don't know if you'll ever return, you eat as much ceviche as possible, since it is one of Peru's best known dishes.
