Cenotes are a unique feature in the Yucatan Peninsula and Riviera Maya in Mexico. These beautiful swimming holes have grown in popularity as Tulum continues to grow and tourism increases significantly. We wanted to find 2 unique and lesser known cenotes to explore. Cenote Yal-Ku is a large cenote in Akumal that mixes with the ocean and is fantastic for snorkeling! Cenote Nicte Ha is a quieter and idyllic cenote that has lots of aquatic foliage and if you time it right you can have this paradise to yourself.
