This 11-minute training video covers perioperative environmental infection control practices, from damp dusting prior to starting the first case, to cleaning and disinfection between cases. This video is designed for perioperative staff and environmental services staff working in the perioperative area and can help these healthcare team members provide a clean and safe environment for their patients.
Be sure to also watch “Environmental Cleaning Basics for Perioperative Areas: Part 2,” which focuses on terminal, or end of the day, cleaning.
