The analog MEMS microphone shown here is an SPM0404HD5-PB, which is ideal for picking up audio signals that are loud or close to the port of the microphone (these are common in smartphones). The MEMS mic has a nearly flat frequency response from 100Hz - 10kHz, within 4dB, making it ideal for recording human voices at close range. The MEMS mic can also be used to record ambient sounds and an array of these SPM0404HD5-PB microphones can be used for sound localization by wiring to multiple analog pins on an Arduino board.
