I'm gonna show you how to make a simple PDF lead magnet that your audience will love.

Now, the first thing you need to do is use technology to help you. There's no reason that you should be designing this PDF from scratch. You can leverage technology to help you make it really awesome and really fast. There are many great software products that allow you to design your PDF, put in your information into a template and then send that through to your email marketing software so that you can start delivering it to people that are interested in your content.

The second thing that you want to do is know what your audience wants and needs. You're not creating this for you. You're creating this for your audience. So you want to make sure that you're putting yourself in their shoes and thinking about what would be valuable to them. What kind of problems do they face? What kind of things are they struggling with right now? Put together a list of the top three to five things that would be most valuable to them. Then go away and do some more research, some more investigation, some more digging to find out what are the most common questions that people in your niche are searching for online. Once you have that list compiled, go away and do some competitive analysis. What are other people in your space offering? What are they giving away for free so that you can get an idea of what you could potentially offer?

Once you've got all of that information, then you can start to sketch out what your PDF is going to look like and what information is going to go in it. Keep it simple. Keep it to the point. You want it to be no more than 30 minutes to read. If it's longer than that, people are just not going to have the time or frankly, the inclination to sit and read through your entire PDF. So keep it simple enough that someone could digest it in 30 minutes or less. And if you're worried about people not taking action after reading it, you can always include a call to action at the end of your PDF.

And finally, keep tweaking and updating it until you have an awesome lead magnet. Don't just create something that you think is okay. Keep tweaking and keep updating it. Test it out on friends and family. Get their feedback and make sure that you're including the most up to date information possible.
