The crisis in Ukraine has forced Western countries to reevaluate their reliance on Russian energy.

In the midst of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, global gas prices have soared above $100 a barrel for the first time since 2014. Moreover, on the heels of the U.S. ban on Russian oil, Moscow warned that a European ban could lead to an unpredictable price surge.
