In this episode, Mike and David travel up to Nottingham to visit the factory where Cyrus Audio products are made. After walking around the large manufacturing facility, packed with surface mount circuitboard machines, test equipment and warehousing facilities, they relax on the listening room sofa to talk to Managing Director Nick Clarke.
Close to celebrating its fortieth anniversary, the Cyrus story is a long and winding road – the split from Mission, the management buyout, the innovative industrial design and the recent appointment of Nick all tell a story of a company that's constantly on the move. All of which takes us to 2023, when the product range is probably stronger than ever.
Each episode of Hi-Fi Riff features Mike and David's unedited, unexpurgated views about all manner of weird and wonderful hi-fi designs. Business executive Mike has a wealth of knowledge from previous hi-fi retail experience, and David has written about hi-fi for thirty years. Now Editor-in-Chief of StereoNET, he's picked up a few things along the way.
