"We are not alone in our narrative and our stories, that actually violence that is happening here is also happening in the US, in the UK, in Somalia and Sudan, all around Latin America, so we are all connected to be able to fight the violence that is happening to all of us. We actually have to stand as a global solidarity to be able to combat it."

STORYLINE:
Thousands of students, nuns and school workers in the Philippines capital expressed their support for a global movement against violence towards women and children by dancing as part of the One Billion Rising campaign on Monday, the second day of the event.
Students of St. Scholastica's college, an exclusive all-girls school in Manila, gathered to dance together inside their school play-ground
The global campaign calls for an end to violence against women and was first launched in 2012 by American author and activist Eve Ensler.
