Introduction to Virology and Viral Infections is a third-year course on Virology at the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST. This video is an open resource that explains what a virus is and lists the components that combine to make one. It also seeks to teach the concept of tropism and why it occurs, the difference between an acute, chronic, and latent infection, and to explain which elements of the immune system are important for controlling and eliminating virus infections and preventing virus infections.
