"We had to do this. It was a necessity. Zejd came to our class, he is a beautiful and smart child, but he cannot hear. Zejd did not know sign language. We did not know sign language, neither the children nor me. We had to do something. At the beginning, I used to take hours to prepare myself for each class, each day: 'how do I present this particular lesson to him?' We invented some sign language of our own. I was constantly talking to all the parents of these children: 'how can we help Zejd?' The idea came from one of the parents, to fund this sign language course, to try it like that. We offered the idea to all parents and everyone accepted. So we began the course."
