Katra, the base camp for pilgrims visiting the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, is witnessing a 72-hour shutdown. As protests against the proposed ropeway project escalate, called by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sangarsh Samiti, the strike has brought all activities in the town to a standstill.
