Amazon unveils 'Proteus'
Its first mobile warehouse robot
Proteus will initially be deployed in outbound GoCart handling areas
Both in Amazon fulfilment centres and sort centres
Proteus will work using advanced safety, perception and navigation tech
Amazon has developed the technology
Amazon will also add a robotic arm 'Cardinal'
It can carry up to 50 pounds
Cardinal will be deployed by next year
