In this video we begin the 12x24 cutting bed in the original k40 laser case.
I have a project coming up that requires a larger bed, so I moved this mod to the front of the line.
This video has the engraver tear down, removing all the welded pieces, sanding, painting the case and putting all the parts together loosely. In the next video I will install the GT2 timing belts and wire it up for testing.
I am not a fan of long videos but because I have never seen a video that shows the complete build from the default parts, I left the build in real time.
This K40 mod is based on tshilling's design.
