The Nikon Z8 is basically a "mini Z9": with 45 megapixel stacked sensor, 20 frames per second and the same autofocus of the Z9, it looks like an ideal camera for wildlife photography and especially bird photography. But how well does the smaller camera perform in practice? I spent more than a week in the south of France (Camargue) and tested the camera intensively for nature photography.
