A job fair cum awareness camp was organized today at District Employment & Counseling Centre Samba . The programme was organized for unemployed youth of district to bridge the gap between the job seeker and job provider and to aware the candidates about different government sponsored self employment schemes to get financial assistance to earn their livelihood through starting their own ventures.  4 private companies Khandhari Beverages, SBI Life , LIC of India , Devan Modern Breweries participated in the job fair to recruit suitable candidates for various job positions . The candidates were also counseled about different self employment schemes of the government like MUMKIN, TEJESWINI, Spurring entrepreneurship, PMEGP, SCBC loan schemes. District Manager KVIB also interacted with the candidates and motivated them to start their own self employment units by availing financial assistance under PMEGP, REGP scheme. They were also given information about free coaching, Stenography course, O level computer course for SC/ST candidates being provided through National Career service Centre for SC/ST Jammu .  Career Counselling officer provided information on the National Career service Portal to the participating candidates. The participating unemployed youth were registered on the spot on the Employment portal at www.jakemp.nic.in through which they will be eligible for getting incentives like applying for different government schemes, skill development courses and similar job fair in future. More than 200 candidates participated in job fair .
