Use the right splitter for Free Satellite TV
Not all TV Splitters are created equal. TV splitters made for over the air antenna TV have a much narrower bandwidth in the 5 to 900 MHz range while splitters designed for satellite television have a much wider bandwidth, ranging as high as 5-2.4 or 5-3 GHz.
Satellite TV splitters also have a special feature known as ‘power pass’ which allows the voltage from your receiver to be passed back through the splitter to your LNB which requires voltage from your receiver to operate properly.
Using the incorrect splitter for satellite TV could result in the loss of some or all channels.
