Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has been granted a reprieve after a Nairobi court allowed the director of public prosecutions to drop terrorism charges against him. Sonko, who had been accused of recruiting individuals for terrorist activities, appeared at the Kahawa law courts. Meanwhile, the Kibera law courts have resumed the hearing of a murder case involving a former police officer accused of fatally shooting two unarmed teenagers seven years ago.
